Rainbow-Web review

On 10 October 2026 Rainbow-Web’s official catalog was German shared hosting (WebLux) plus separately listed VPS rows. Confirm the live cart; terms change.

German shared / VPS

Who it is for

Official shared-hosting copy targets simple sites up through larger Plesk accounts. WebLux Starter is described as ideal for simple static sites and “business cards.” Higher WebLux rows add databases, more mailboxes, and one-click apps. They host only in Germany (ISO 27001 TÜV-certified datacenters, CO2-neutral power, on their comparison page).

If you need NVIDIA GPUs or a US trading VPS, this is the wrong host. If you want German data residency and a published Plesk shared table, it belongs in the comparison.

Plans and features (official, 2026-10-10)

Shared WebLux rows from their hosting comparison and homepage. Prices include VAT as shown on that table. Minimum term is 12 months on all WebLux packages; they auto-renew another 12 months unless cancelled at least 31 days before expiry.

WebLux Pro20,000 MB1010€5.99/mo
WebLux Ultimate100,000 MB5050€9.99/mo

On every WebLux row they list: unmetered traffic, 1 Gbit uplink, one free .de domain, Let’s Encrypt SSL, Plesk, Apache + Nginx, Linux, daily backups kept at least 7 days (not counted against quota), no setup fee. One-click apps (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and others) start at WebLux Basic. Starter does not get WordPress Toolkit; Basic and up can add it for €0.99/mo.

They also publish VPS rows (Server S–XL) with monthly or 12-month prices, root SSH, and Debian / Ubuntu / AlmaLinux / Rocky Linux. Example from their VPS comparison: Server S at €9.99/mo month-to-month or €8.49/mo on 12 months. Check that page for current CPU and RAM.

Support copy: 24-hour email support, 7 days a week. Access data “usually within 48 hours.”

Pros

  • Very detailed public feature matrix (storage, mail, PHP versions, backups).
  • Germany-only hosting and ISO 27001 language if that is a requirement.
  • Plesk plus optional WordPress Toolkit from Basic upward.
  • VPS exists if shared WebLux is too small — still on the same site.

Cons

  • Shared plans lock you into 12 months. That is a real skip reason.
  • Starter is tiny (2 GB total for web + mail) and is not the one-click WordPress tier.
  • Site and panel are German-first.
  • No GPU / US VPS story on the pages I checked.

Who should skip it

Skip Rainbow-Web shared hosting if you need month-to-month cancel, a US datacenter, or a GPU. Skip Starter if you actually want WordPress one-click — their own FAQ says that starts at Basic. For managed EU WordPress with a published monthly ladder, see CloverNets. For US VPS/GPU, see Database Mart.
